Different manufacturers will focus on the transparent and non-transparent plastic storage containers. For home organization and decorations, transparent plastic storage is strongly recommended. When it comes to decors that are not in season, such like spring festival decors and different books out of season, usually they are stored in transparent boxes to see through where is the box where you put the decors on. At the same time, if you are looking for storage for unused clothes that are out of style and season like sweatshirts and coats, use the colored plastic boxes. Disposable plastic plates come in sets combined with plastic forks, knives, spoons and plastic cups. This is an economical way of saving on the extra cost of acquiring these items.

The roads laid using plastic wastes such as wholesale plastic are economical and durable comparable to normal tools and following the simple step of bulk plastic cutlery selling. Various plastic wastes can end up as a solution for plastic disposal from plastic cutlery manufacturers. Let’s Initiate and plant the seed for better and greener environment. Each one of us has the responsibility to save our earth and protect our own family from being too much polluted, start immediately before it is too late.

Save Energy With Humidifiers

Saturday, September 18th, 2010

Everyone these days are doing things to save energy and save the planet. Plastics are being recycled with papers and cans. We are all looking for energy saving electrical equipments to save energy and the cost in our own homes. During winter you won’t have to use thermostat if you have humidifiers installed in your house. In countries like Germany people have already started installing luftbefeuchter (known in Germany for Humidifiers) to save energy, yes now you are wondering how? Just keep reading.

Humidifiers add moisture in the air that is flowing inside your house/room, and from the humid moisture the temperature just gets warmer inside the house. The summer in UK has high humidity hence we feel very hot even though the temperature is only around 18, 19 and 20 degrees. We we goto countries like Spain, Italy, Chile or India we can easily relax under the heat of 30 degrees as atmosphere is less humid. What is my point? Well its simply less humid more cold and more humid less cold. And with large amount of moisture the air will feel warmer.

Humidifiers take less energy than electric or gas heaters which also means you can save money. Make sure to insulate the loft if you have one. Some houses which are built 20 to 30 years ago let’s the heat through the ceilings or through the roof and runs into the atmosphere. Here is another way you can save energy and also it is very cost effective. If there are any gaps that allows heat to get out then you need to seal it. this way you are not letting the heat out, your property stays warm and you won’t have to turn on the heater. By doing the above you will also be saving money.

In countries like Chile and Spain humidifiers is called humidificadores and in Italy they are known as umidificatori.

Food Choices Have a Large Impact on The Environment and More

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

You don’t have to be a environmental scientist to know that we are having a huge influence on the state of our planet and people are only starting to take action now. Twenty years ago, very few people even thought about where their food, tableware or clothing etc came from. It was a case of what do I want and where do I get it. However, in a struggling economy and a planet suffering all sorts of pollution, we need to think differently about how we live our lives. A healthy approach can start at home by being considerate about something as simple as your next meal.

Local Suppliers. It seems all to easy these days to buy exotic fruit whenever you want it or pick up some foreign spices from the local shop. The fact that products such as these are having to be transported over many hundreds, if not thousands of miles has large ramifications. Not only does the transport release vast amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere, due to burning fuel and having to use a food and wine fridge to keep the produce chilled all the way, but also local food suppliers struggle to compete with low foreign costs. If you want to see the important businesses in your local area survive for years to come then make sure you use them whenever you can.

Fight Packaging
. You only have to take a walk down one of the isles to see how much food packaging is wasted making products look pretty. A single cake might be singly wrapped, inside a little box with a plastic place-holder, which is cloaked in cellophane and transported within a cardboard box, with the other cake boxes. It is often the case that such packaging is completely redundant, so do your bit and try to buy loose or sensibly wrapped goods.

Green Accessories
. More than just the food you buy can influence the planet when you eat. Everything from the cutlery you use to the little wine gifts you purchase for other people can have a knock on effect and so deserve consideration. Ask yourself where this ware has come from, is it something that could be made from a more sustainable textile, and is this a disposable product when I could be purchasing a reclaimable one? A good example of this is chopsticks as the disposable kind accounts for acres of lost rain forest every day.

Will oil produced by algae save our planet?

Will algae oil save our planet?

In our green real estate section we usually try to focus on environmentally friendly advice for our homes. If you drive around every day in a car that consumes more and more gas and you feel guilty, this article will bring you some interesting information about a new research. One of the crucial parts of our everyday routine is oil. People in the developed countries often cannot imagine a life without a car, it is just so common to own one. As most of the realtors whose job requires driving around a lot, I do the same. Imagine a life without a car - isn’t it almost impossible? The prices of oil are driven up and down by the unsure oil supplies and our nature is suffering from carbon dioxide emissions and fuel burning. These are the well-known basic problems of driving.

Craig Venter is an American biologist and also a successful enterpreneur who founded The Institute for Genomic Research. He predominantly deals with genetic engineering and his latest project has provoked a great deal of heated debate.

We already know that algae can produce natural oil. This has been the interest of several experiments with biofuels. But Venter has higher aspirations than that. He is attempting to modify the genomic structure of algae in order to produce oil, which is nearly identical to traditional crude oil. This option is so much better, as you can use existing oil industry infrastructure like refineries, and even make plastics in the same way as from crude oil refining using the same production plants that are currently being used. It doesn’t surprise us that one of the companies producing the most oil on the planet, Exxon Mobile, gave $600 million for Ventor to go on with his research.

Now your question might be, where is the ecological benefit? Well, right here. The oil created by algae could well contribute to coping with one of the most difficult problems of our world. During the photosynthesis process, plants utilize the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and use it to create the oil, which is later burned and turned into oxalates. Of course, this prodigious solution won’t be available this or next year, but definitely it is a good way to go. The team of Craig Venter are trying to win where others have tried and failed, but this time there is a great chance of success. There are many people out there that want to protect the environment, but due to their occupation, it is very difficult for them to stop using cars, just like so many of my fellow Toronto realtors can’t.
