There are many things we can do in order to find out more about our past lives whether we believe in reincarnation or not. Interestingly enough though, the amount of people who believe in reincarnation far exceeds the number who don’t. These are an indication to an experience in a past life.
On many occasions, experiences from past lives can show themselves in a dream so for this reason,it’s advisable to keep a note of your dreams, especially when you feel there is any indication that some aspects of a dream represent a past life. Keep in mind that dreams can often be a combination of of past and present experiences. Also, because the human mind can be very receptive to suggestion, one should suggest to yourself just as you’re going to sleep that you wish to recall memories from past lives. It is then essential that you write down the details of any dream follow such suggestions.

Meditation is another extremely powerful means of being able to discover more about any of your past lives. Unfortunately, because meditation is more often than not very personal, many people encounter trust issues concerning the information they receive. The best advice anyone could give you in this respect, is simply that you need to place your trust in your own sixth sense.
Meditation is often described as a dream-like state of mind and of course, to a great extent this is true. Just as in a dream, images will come and go and for the most part, these images provide us with potential clues as to our past lives. For this reason, one should always be ready to write your recollections down on some paper so that you can ponder over them at a later time when it is more convenient for you. Being highly susceptible to suggestion, your mind is able to recall any information which you instruct it to but on the other hand, if you don’t believe that it is possible to recall past life experiences, then it simply won’t be possible.
There are various forms of stimulation which people find to be beneficial for meditation and while some prefer silence, others prefer visual or audio stimulation. Such stimulation could for example include listening to soothing sounds such as the sound of the sea. Likewise, visual stimulation could include staring at the flickering flame of a candle or even the dancing flames of a slow burning fire.
A relatively new development using sound technology has been shown to have very promising results. Of course one can lie down to meditate but you run the risk of falling asleep, therefor it is recommended that you adopt a sitting position instead. Don’t burden yourself with any expectations apart from expecting a state of deep relaxation. Focus should be entirely on muscle relaxation as well as a calm and clear mind. Thought and questions which come to you during this time should be addressed as briefly as possible and then allowed to pass on by. While this may seem challenging at first, with a little practice, it does get easier.
Whether or not you believe in reincarnation or not, if the images you receive actually help you to solve any problems, then your efforts will not have been in vain. For many people, proving the authenticity of the images they receive is at best, impossible. On the other hand, there are many people who receive images of such a nature, that they are indeed able to research places or even names which have been revealed to them.
The fact that many people learn they have shared past lives with the same person they love in this life, is nothing short of extraordinary. Of course these people may have shared a different type of relationship in their past life that what they do in this life . For example, a brother in this life may not have been a brother in a past life.
