A Variety Of Astral Projection Tried And Tested Tools

Monday, March 15th, 2010

You’ve almost certainly at least heard of astral projection before. You might have learned of it from a book or movie or perhaps a friend has been talking about it. While you know the term and maybe even have an idea of what it is, what you probably don’t know is that this is not something which only happens in fiction. Astral projection is real and it’s something which anyone can learn to do. In fact, you’ve probably already astral projected and were unaware of it.

But what is astral projection, exactly? This is the ability to leave one’s physical body ? this is something which often happens while we are sleeping. When our bodies are at rest and our conscious minds largely disengaged, our subconscious remains active. You may not remember doing so, but you have almost certainly had some experience with astral projection.

You go wherever you want to go when you astral project. If you can recall your childhood you may be able to remember having the ability to do this after going to sleep, eventually you forgot, as you got older. There is no such thing as time and distance when it concerns astral projection, you can go anywhere. While you are sleeping, your physical body is asleep. Your astral body travels.

You probably want to know what your astral body is ? it’s an invisible duplicate of your physical body which is made of our emotions and our desires. Your astral body will always return to your physical body ? the two are connected by a silver cord.

The silver cord first connects as the astral body enters the physical body. This is not exhausted until after death when the astral body leaves the physical body for the last time. This silver cord prevents the astral body from not returning.

So where is it that your astral body travels to? Your astral body moves about in the astral plane, which is an ethereal duplicate of the universe familiar to you. There are different schools of thought about the nature of the astral plane, but there is general consensus that it is made up of many different layers.

Can astral travel be dangerous? The answer is both yes and no. If you exercise caution when astral projecting and decide beforehand where you want to travel to, then astral travel is safe as long as you are in the proper state of mind.

You can find danger if your mind is not sound when you astral project. Therefore, anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol can find themselves in a crisis. These may be the lower levels of the astral plane.

You should know where you want to go and only astral project when you are in the proper frame of mind to do so. You want to have control over where your astral body goes and what it does.

With the proper preparation, you can begin learning to astral project in little time. Most people like to do their astral projection while alone in the privacy of their home. That said, there are astral projection professionals who conduct group astral travel sessions in order to help others learn how to control their astral projection and to make the most of the experience. You may want to try astral projection both on your own and in a group under the guidance of a professional.

There are a lot of helpful resources out there to help you learn astral projection. There are books and websites which contain useful information and recordings such as astral projection hypnosis recordings. You can listen to these recordings to relax and allow your subconscious to hear the messages on the recordings that it’s time to astral project. A breakthrough in audio technology, binaural beats can help you to astral project in short order. These are special recordings which feature slightly different frequencies for each ear and cause you to relax and reach the meditative state required for astral projection.

A new audio technology called binaural beats can also help you to begin astral projecting quickly. These are slightly different frequencies which are played into each ear. These frequencies relax you and allow you to easily attain the mental state needed for astral projection.

If you still don’t believe in astral projection, just remember the last time that you had a dream that you were flying followed by a sensation of falling right before you awoke. The sensation of flying was how it feels to travel with your astral body and the falling was your astral body coming back to you. Astral projection can be learned and if you practice regularly, you’ll master this ability sooner than you may think.

Still need to be convinced? When did you last dream you were flying and then felt as though you were falling? As the astral body, moves through the astral plane it, feels like flying. The sensation of falling comes when the astral body comes back into the physical body. Astral projection is very real. Anyone can do it and find benefit in it. However, you do have to invest time in fine-tuning your natural ability in order to reach the kind of success you desire with astral projection. It will become easier to do once you begin your journey while projecting.

Can I Do Astral Projection?

Monday, March 1st, 2010

For people who are interested in astral projection, you will find that there are a number of different astral projection techniques that you can try. While keeping in mind that we are all different and that while one technique that is pure gold for one person doesn’t work for another at all, you will find that there are techniques out there that can work for you. Most people try a few different techniques, but first of all, remember to relax!

When you are looking at making astral projection techniques work, you will discover that total relaxation is a must. Far too many people are afraid of the idea of losing control, and especially if you are just getting started, this can be a little unnerving. You may be worried that you can die or that you will be harmed, and the truth is the complete opposite. To help quash these old fears, a research study was performed by the Canterbury Institute, which is known for its occult studies.

The Canterbury study had 2000 individuals, who were participants in astral projection. This study proved the not one person was found to be negatively affected in anyway from doing astral projection techniques. More importantly though is that there was a follow up down for 3 more years. No participant has had any problems that they have complained about.

With all the concerns and fear being erased now, time to move on and explore a few of the unique astral projection techniques what wind up being so simple to do and people have had great success with them. The first one to be talked of is the Monroe Technique. Here are the seven steps that are mainly used in this astral projection technique.

* Relaxing mind and body. The simplest way to achieve this is by practicing deep breathing, in addition to relaxing all the muscles of the body one at a time. You can do this by tensing and then the releasing them, starting with your toes and then working your way up through the rest of your body.

* The hypnotic state of mind. This is simply a state of mind when your mind and body are right at the very edge of consciousness. In other words, you are right at the verge of going to sleep but it’s imperative that you do not allow yourself to actually fall asleep. This can be achieved by using what is known as the ‘gazing method’, where one focuses on an object in the room as you lie on your bed. Your aim should be to be able to see the object even when your eyes are closed.

* Then once you are able to accomplish seeing the item with your eyes shut you have to go deeper into the state you are in. To accomplish this stage just close your eyes and start looking around to view what you can visualize. There is a possibility of you seeing a variety of light patterns, you could by chance notice a purple light cloaking the room. Do not spend too much attention to this, when you quit viewing this light you will have found that you have entered a state that is deeper. At this point you are so thoroughly relaxed that you have become unaware of your body physically. This part of the process is very crucial in the astral projection Monroe technique.

* This next step which revolves around a state of vibration is extremely important according to Monroe. Also, most people who are involved with the actual projection to indicate that these vibrations become noticeable in the early stages of projection. In fact, it is said that these vibrations signal the time when your astral body begins to separate from your physical body. This is a perfectly normal phenomenon and as such, there is no reason for concern.

* Next you need to be in control of these vibrations. To be in control you will have to focus on this vibrations and cause them to course through your body. Utilize your mind to do this, you need your whole body to experience the vibrations, as if they were waves covering you. You need to practice this enough that you can do this at will. Now that you can do this stage you will be able to leave the body next.

* Now you need to convince yourself that your mind has power and control. This is the stage with astral projection techniques where you will need to think about a partial separation. While this is going on, you will start to use your hand or your foot and to part it from your physical body. Move it up and away and try to pass it through a solid object that is near you. This can take some time and effort, but it is completely possible. Remember that once you have done that that you should return your body to its fully awake stage. Stay down until you are awake, and then you can move.

* At this stage, you are ready to leave the body entirely. Start by repeating steps one through six until you feel comfortable, and then, when you are ready, move completely into your astral body. You will find that this can feel a little strange and that you might need some visualization to get you started. Think about how you can release your body and how it feels so light. Think about how wind can blow it here and there and how weightless you are. You may feel as though you are flying or floating.

You may also try other astral projection techniques like the Anchor Technique, the Rope Technique, and the Gazing Method. Try all of these to see which gives you the highest quality results for you. The right astral projection technique exist out there for everyone that tries it.

Irrespective of which technique or techniques you choose to use, you need to bear in mind that it’s not always possible to astral project instantly. As with so many other things in life, he does take practice.

When you are looking for a quicker shorter way to get results, remember that you should look at the audio tools that are available to you. There are some important tools that will use special sound frequencies to help you. These frequencies are known as Binaural beats, which will bring the two hemispheres o your brain into synchronization and you will find that it sinks you right into the meditative state

You may also find that you can get some great use out of good astral projection techniques hypnosis recordings, and you will find that they can encourage your subconscious mind that it is really okay to let your astral body out and to let it travel.

It simply cannot be denied that astral protection is a life changing experience, and this is something which anyone will attest to once they have experienced it. Fortunately, it is something anyone can do, particularly if you use one of the many techniques available.

Out of Body Experiences Down Through the Ages

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Astral projection, also known as an out-of-body experience, can occur at any time to any person. The most common out-of-body experiences occur during a major trauma. However, it is possible to have an out-of-body experience by sheer will.

It would be this will power manifestation that would be the most commonly known form of astral projection. A number of people have claimed to have had out of body experiences while others make claims about being able to directly perform such astral projection powers. While the basics of these techniques are the same, the power levels can differ from person to person. Of course, there are those that question the validity of such claims.

For hundreds of years, a great many people have experienced this phenomenon known as the out-of-body experience. Many people have experienced these sensation while they sleep but managed to ignored it. It was their belief that what they saw and experienced was nothing but a common dream. Yet, most out of body experiences are commonly felt while undergoing a major trauma such as a surgery.

There have also been scores of accounts of out-of-body experiences occurring during frightful near-death situations. In all of these cases of out-of-body experiences, the person experiencing them notes that he/she is able to see and hear everything occurring in the real world even though they were not conscious at the time.

Out-of-body experiences have also been known to occur due to the prolonged use of psychedelic or common dissociative drugs. Yet, there are a number of techniques known to induce the common out-of-body experience most have read about. A traditional example of this is the employment of visualization during a relaxed and meditative state of mind. Various studies have occurred recently designed to show that similar experiences to out-of-body experiences might be induced directly through stimulating the brain.

Among the most common forms of all out-of-body experiences is the process of astral projection. During astral projection, a human being develops the ability to leave the body and visit other physical places as well as the world of astral planes or even higher planes of existence.

In the renaissance Neoplatonist and Rosicrucian philosophy, there is the belief that an astral body in body is created by light that links the “rational soul” and the physical body together. Such philosophy also professes the notion that the astral plane is a world created of the exact light and exists between Heaven and Earth. This metaphysical light is comprised of the spheres of stars and planets that are commonly believed to be the home of angels, demons, and spirits.

According to the beliefs of the ancient Egyptians, the human soul possesses the ability to hover or float in a world outside the human body in what is commonly referred to the “Ka” which is also known as the subtle body. (Another name of this is the astral body) In most belief systems in astral projection, the astral body holds a connection with a silver cord of psychic energy to the physical body.

The classical Chinese Taoists took part in an alchemical practice that centered on creating a body of energy via the employment of breathing meditations, pulling energy into an internal section dubbed a “pearl” and then circulating the mysterious pearl through the body to create a powerful base of energy.

During out-of-body experiences, many people have accounted that they willed themselves to leave their bodies. Others have reported that they had found themselves coming out of their bodies as if being pulled, while others state that they didn’t realize that they had left their bodies until after they were already out. Several people have even stated that they wanted to get out of bed and when they tried to reach for the door, they could not touch it. Upon this sensation, they looked in the direction of their bed and realized that they were still lying down, apparently asleep.

Neurologists have long tried to explain such events as being triggered by an errant mismatch of the visual and tactile signals. The great majority of out-of-body experiences have taken place during the duration that exists between REM sleep and the point prior to waking up. Among the many points of time where out-of-body experiences occur, the subject will go into a state commonly known as sleep paralysis. During this time between being asleep and awake, sleep paralysis might potentially continue and dream-like imagery will become mingled with sensations that reach the senses.

However, there have been many scientific studies in the field of astral projection and out-of-body experiences which have shown that out of body experiences are in fact very real. There are also several research facilities in several different countries, including the Monroe Institute in Virginia, as well as the Projectarium at the International Academy of Consciousness in Portugal and the Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience in Switzerland.

We Discuss A Variety Of Astral Projection Techniques

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Everyone has some idea of what astral projection is, even if we don?t usually truly understand it. You?ve almost certainly seen it in a film or read about it somewhere. You?ve probably even heard it discussed among people you know. Even though you may have some vague concept of it, you probably didn?t know that it?s something that you ? and everyone else in the world can do and have done before, even if you didn?t know it.

In order to determine if you have had an astral projection experience or to begin learning to astral project it is important to understand what astral projection is. Simply put astral projection is when your spirit body leaves your physical body. This is something that happens naturally at night when you are asleep, but it is possible for you to do it consciously and control the journey of your spirit body.

When you astral project, there are no limits to what you can do or where you can go. When you were young, you could do this with ease in your sleep. As we get older most of us lose our knack for this and we need to practice again to do it at will.

You may be asking at this point what is meant by th astral body? The meaning of the term astral body is the body’s invisible duplicate, also called the ethereal body. It is where all of our wishes and feelings are stored in our body. I bet you are wondering how the astral body can leave and then also return to the physical body? There is this silver cord that connects the physical body with the astral body.

The silver cord is attached from the moment that the astral body and the physical body connect. It only detaches at the moment of death when the astral and physical body permanently disconnect from each other. It is this cord that recalls the astral body to the physical body.

When we astral project, where do our astral bodies go? They go to their natural element, the astral plane: an ethereal counterpart to the physical world. Experts are not all in agreement about exactly how the astral plane works, but they generally agree that there are many different levels which make up the astral plane and that it is tuned to a slightly different rate of our vibration than our own. We can?t perceive it with our physical senses, but our astral bodies can travel through this plane of reality with ease.

It is perfectly alright at this stage if you are concerned about possible hazards in doing astral projection. The answer to this is both no and yes. We have already mentioned these facts that the astral body always returns to the physical thanks to the silver cord, also that everyone can do astral projection. You just need to make sure you have your mind right to do this though. This means that your basic thinking skills should be strong and sound, this way you will be able to know exactly what you want and even more important where you want to go.

When you?re intoxicated, astral projection can be hazardous. Psychological damage can be caused by astral projection while you?re not in control of yourself. When you don?t have all your wits about you, you can only travel the lowest (and most dangerous) levels of the astral plane.

This is why it is so important that you know exactly what you are doing and where you are planning to go. The goal you are trying to achieve is not just astral projecting, but conscious astral projection where you are aware of what is going on.

If you have the right assistance to prepare yourself, learning astral projection can be easy and even possible to do in a short time. There are professionals who offer lessons, but most people prefer to practice this natural talent in their own home.

The internet has a wealth of information on astral projection and there are a number of books, which describe a number of techniques that can be used in order to prepare the mind and body for astral projection. There are even recordings that use hypnosis to assist in astral projection. There is an advantage to these types of recordings. You can have them play on repeat giving people who may find it difficult to prepare the time necessary to reach the appropriate state of mind; this extra time might not be available if professional sessions are used.

Sound technology can also be helpful. There is a technology known as binaural beats, which plays a variety of frequencies in each ear. These frequencies are slightly different and as a result relax the body quickly. This places the mind into a deep meditation making it easier to astral project.

You can expect the first few attempts to not be as successful as you would like them to be. Astral projection takes some practice to perfect it and get the results you want. Remember that you have the ability already, all of us have the ability to do astral projection, we have just over time forgotten the method and just need to tune our own natural ability to do it.

Are you still not sure about astral projection? Here?s an example of astral projection we?ve all had. Everyone has those dreams where they?re flying, then begin to fall; and wake up. These aren?t dreams at all, but an experience of astral projecting. When you feel like you?re in flight, this is your astral body moving through the non-physical plane. The falling sensation is the feeling of your astral body returning to earth and re-entering your physical body. Astral projection is a very real ability which you already have. If you devote a little time and effort to practice it, your reward will be being able to enjoy this experience any time you like.

What Is An OOBE - Out Of Body Experience?

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

For hundreds of years, individuals have experienced a state in which their spiritual self, or soul, is freed from their physical body, allowing their spirit to then explore regions of time and space that differ from the plane their physical body is inhabiting. This state is called the out of body experience, sometimes abbreviated as OBE.

Sometimes known as astral projection; feelings of weightlessness, freedom from physical limitations and a sense of being able to see one’s own physical body from a multi-dimensional, external perspective are typical of these experiences.

People who report having an out of body experience usually have their experience immediately after living through one of three situations: a physically, mentally and/or emotionally traumatic event, an interaction with drugs, or an intentionally-induced state achieved through meditation and a sequence of specific steps.

Out of body experiences are distinctly not dream events; they differ in that they are conscious states of awareness, often quite vivid, that unfold in real time. Dreams are the concoctions of the subconscious mind and may or may not appear to be real. Individuals who have had out of body experiences typically say that during the state, their senses are heightened and they possess additional levels of awareness beyond their usual physical senses.

Individuals who report their out of body experiences also say that their spirits or souls seem to take on another form, a form that is in addition to, and separate from, their physical bodies. This separate spirit, sometimes called the astral body, is then free to travel to different dimensions of space and time, and free even to encounter the spirits of deceased loved ones inhabiting the other side.

For this reason it’s easy to see why many individuals actively pursue the out of body experience, whether in search of answers to the unknown questions of the world such as ‘what happens after we die’ or ‘how big is the universe?’ or simply to reconnect with a friend of a relative with whom one has business yet unfinished.

It is important to know that people of all ages and from all cultures and professions have out of body experiences. Some people are reluctant to report that they have had an OBE because they fear religious repercussions, but various scriptures throughout history document the occurrence of out of body experiences, including ancient Native American oral histories and the Christian Bible.

Although most people who actively seek an OBE are at least somewhat open to new age thinking, the practice is actually a very old method used to find personal enlightenment and enrichment.

Individuals report that out of body experiences occur with a surprising frequency: approximately one out of every 15 individuals has some type of OBE. These experiences occur in almost every set of circumstances, ranging from sleeping or relaxing to being in the midst of a stressful or violent situation such as an accident. The explanation for this wide spectrum of causality is very simple: every person is different, and each responds differently to given situations.

Common to many reports of out of body experience is the feeling of vibration, or the physical self suddenly becoming very heavy. Many believe this feeling is actually the separation of the spiritual self from the physical self in order for the former to then pursue its travels along the astral plane.

Some people who are not familiar with the concept of the out of body experience fear that if their spiritual self separates from their physical body, it may not be able to re-unite. Experts suggest, however, that a permanent link exists between the spiritual and physical selves, and that this is particularly the case with people who are sufficiently self-aware to induce the state on purpose. Because it is not believed that the spirit can somehow become trapped outside the physical body, there is very little reason to fear having an out of body experience.

Having an out of body experience is more common that one might think, and has been a part of human life across the cultural spectrum for centuries. It has long been considered a method for gaining personal understanding and enlightenment for the world and universe that surrounds us.

If only we can calm our minds long enough to give our inner selves the freedom they strive for, we can enjoy opportunities for increased personal insight and advances in technology that otherwise lie beyond our physical consciousness. Through study and practice, anyone can begin to unlock his or her personal potential by starting down the path that leads to spiritual awakening. The path is before us, we have only to take the first step.
