How to Engage in Astral Projecting

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

A lot of people find that there are some things which are stumbling block sot them as they attempt to learn astral projecting. However, this is something which all of us can do – it’s a natural ability which every man and woman already has. Much like riding a bike, you don’t forget how; but you do have to keep in practice in order to do it well.

The biggest problem which many face as they learn astral projecting is learning to relax fully. To astral project, you have to be able to totally relax your body and your mind. There are a lot of different ways which you can relax – these methods include muscle relaxation and breathing techniques.

Naturally though if the environment is not conducive to promoting a relaxed environment then your astral projection session is not going to go as smoothly or be as successful as you would like it to be. Here are a number of tips that you can follow to help get the most out of your preparation.

*Make sure that you are not wearing jewelry or other items that would be contacting your skin. (Clothes are acceptable, but for some removing clothing helps).

*Make sure that the room you are going to relax in and practice your astral projecting is dark. Dark enough so that light can not be seen through your eyelids, but you shouldn’t turn off all the lights.

*Position your body pointing from north to south, with your head at the northern end. Use the sun as your guide if you are unsure which way is north. Remember, the sun sets in the west and rises in the east.

*When you are astral projecting, your clothes should be loose and comfortable, but should also keep you warm.

*Make sure that you have a place which is quiet and where you will not be distracted as you practice your astral projecting.

*Start by using relaxation techniques which get the best results for you. You need to be able to relax completely, so this is very important.

*Give yourself suggestions to help you remember what you see and do when astral projecting. Tell yourself at least five times before you begin “I will remember”. Having pen and paper nearby is a good idea, since you can then write down what happened as soon as you return to your body.

*Use breathing techniques to bring yourself into a relaxed state.

*Focus on the blackness ahead of you as you relax.

*Now you want to focus on a point or object about a foot away from your forehead, once you focus on that object change your focus to six feet away.

*Now you want to make a 90 degree angle that goes from your six foot away focus up so that you are drawing an imaginary line that runs parallel to you body.

By following these tips, you’ll be well prepared for astral projecting. In order to get the best results from astral projection, you need to be in full control mentally. Your astral body may wander off randomly otherwise, which is a waste of your efforts. You can go anywhere and do anything when you are astral projecting, so make sure to think of where you’d like to go and what you’d like to do.

Astral projecting experts have been able to speak with loved ones who have departed and to do things which are beyond the capacities of their physical bodies. You too can learn how to do all of this with some practice. You have astral projected before –those dreams which you remember every detail of when you awaken are astral travels! If you work at it, you can make the most of your astral projecting and have these incredible experiences at will.

Astral Travel Understood

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

If you’ve ever drifted off into a pleasant daydream and imagined yourself floating somewhere high over the roof tops, then you may have been exercising astral travel! Have you ever dreamt about going to different places and seeing different people? That too could be a sign of astral travel. Astral travel is a state of mind that allows you to journey outside of your physical body, going to places you’ve literally only dreamed of.

A lot of people confuse astral travel with dreaming. When we dream, what happens is that our minds try to process the happenings of the day that could not be resolved in our waking lives. This is a normal process which is essential to maintaining our mental health. However, we don’t usually remember these dreams, except in disjointed fragments.

The dreams that you wake up and remember really well are actual astral travel experiences. It is highly recommended that you keep a journal of these dreams. Whether you wake up in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning you should write down what it is you remember. Granted at first, what you remember may not make much sense at first. However, it will all come together later down the road.

Just like regular dreams help you work out the stresses of your life, astral travel dreams also have extreme benefits. The types of astral travel experiences you have will be unique to you, as will be the benefits. This is why it is important for you to keep track of them rather than try to compare them with someone else’s.

Astral travel, when practiced regularly will lead to a deeper sense of your connection to the larger universe. This in turn will fill you with inner peace and a sense of well being. You will also find that astral travel can improve your memory and make you more creative. Why does astral travel produce these results? It is because astral travel uses parts of your brain which are not often used while you are awake – astral travel can help you to reach your full mental potential.

A third benefit to astral travel is that it can also increase your psychic abilities. Many people who practice astral travel report having an increased ability to sense spirits, use of telepathy and precognition.

When you astral travel, you use untapped psychic energies and cause your psychic abilities to bloom.

Even skeptics who didn’t believe that astral projection and astral travel were real, experienced that ability to see and read peoples’ auras.

Besides all of the above, there is also the simple fun and adventure of travelling outside your own body. It is like being on a rollercoaster whenever you want while at the same time providing you a sense of well-being and peace.

With all of these benefits to improve one’s life, why aren’t more people practicing astral travel. The answer is that most people are under the false assumption that astral travel and astral projection are only for a gifted few. When the fact is that every person that is alive today has the ability to astral project.

Whether you realize it or not, you have already astral traveled. You’ve had those flying dreams too – they are astral travel experiences.

The key to reaping the benefits of this experience is for you to do it consciously, which means nothing more then you need to be aware that you are doing it and be able to control what your astral body is doing.

There are techniques that you can learn on your own through books offine or ebooks and other resources online. These were created by people who practice astral travel. Learning to astral travel is not as difficult as people want to believe that it is. This is a natural ability that you were born with, you just forgot how to use it and need to fine tune your ability.

How Can I Astral Project?

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Each and every human being is born with the ability to astral project. The only difference between those who can astral project at will and those who cannot is practice. Astral projection is a technique which has a very long history, just as do yoga and meditation. Astral projection goes by a lot of different names; and there are a lot of different ways you can astral project.

Lucid dreaming, for example is a form of astral projection. You already know what lucid dreaming is – this is when you are conscious within a dream and able to direct the course of the dream. This takes practice to do reliably, but it is as simple as saying to yourself ‘I am dreaming’ while you are in the middle of a dream.

If you keep doing this, you will become conditioned to being aware when you are dreaming. It may be hard for a beginner to astral project with this random practice.

You need to know that astral projection is real. You should also know that you have astral projected already, you simply were not aware that is what had happened. Have you ever woken up from a dream either in the middle of the night or in the morning and remembered a ‘dream’ that you had the night before really well. As if you had lived it. That was an astral projection.

It is very important to have confidence that you can astral project. This will ensure you have a better chance of being successful at having an astral projection experience.

Learn some good meditation and relaxation techniques; these will make it easier for you to astral project. Meditation will get your mind and body ready for the experience of astral projection. Start practicing relaxation and meditation routines you like to get prepared.

One good way to start your meditation (and astral projecting) is to sit in a comfortable chair in a quiet room where you will not be interrupted or distracted. You need to clear all thoughts from your mind and focus on your breathing. Breathe slowly and deeply. Feel your tension and worry leaving your body with each exhalation. Before long, you’ll be nearing the deeply relaxed state necessary to astral project.

Your focus should remain on your breathing. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. As you become more relaxed, your breathing will become deeper and slower.

Starting from your toes and working your way up, relax each part of your body. There are two ways you can do this. One is to tense, then relax each part of your body as you move upwards, the other is to visualize the tension leaving each part of your body as you exhale.

The best way to describe what you are going to feel is ‘heavy’ it is going to feel as though all of the energy and tension is slipping away from each part of your body. You will know it when it happens. Once you have relaxed each part of your body it is time for you to move to the next step that is going to help you astral project.

You will want to go to sleep by now, but do not do that. Find a way to stay alert. Try repeating a command as some experts recommend such as ‘I’m flying, I’m flying.’ It does not matter what it is, just something to keep you alert enough to avoid falling asleep.

The mind tends to get bored when it is not doing anything, which can mean that it will drift and find something else to focus on. You don’t want that to happen. If the mind wanders then you need to quit the session. To help bring the mind back repeat your phrase.

Now, there are a couple of methods that can be employed to reach altered consciousness. You can use your repetitive statement to reach the altered state of consciousness. You can also use the body of light method, which is where you envision a body of light that you are going to see yourself transform into.

There are three signs which will let you know that you are successfully astral projecting. One is that you’ll experience a sensation of motion, followed by seeing light and color even though your eyes will be closed. Finally, you’ll hear voices urging you either to continue or to stop what you are doing – this is a surefire sign that you have managed to astral project.

An Overview of Astral Travel

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

Have you ever had a dream where you were able to fly? Wasn’t that an incredible experience? As it happens, astral travel is very similar to this. Astral travel refers to the way that your astral body traverses the astral plane -by flying. All you need to do when you are astral traveling is to think of where you’d like to go and what you want to do; your astral body will take care of the rest, flying to your destination.

Astral travelis commonly confused with dreaming. However, it is the case that most dreams are just our subconscious mind processing the events of our day. While we sleep, our minds are at work trying to puzzle out some things which it could not resolve while you were awake. This is a natural and helpful process. Most of these dreams we don’t remember at all – if we do so, it is usually just in small fragments, half remembered for a short time after waking.

Whenever you can vividly remember a dream, rest assured you were likely experiencing some form of astral projection. No matter what you intend to do with the information, it is a good idea to recall these dreams as best you can and put them down on paper in a journal. While one or two of these dreams will not make sense to you, there will be time when you can go through several of your recalled dreams and they will make complete sense.

Just like those dream which you don’t remember so well, astral travel is beneficial to you. This is why it’s important to keep track of everything you can remember about these dreams. Since no two people have the same astral travel experiences, the benefits you’ll see will vary from person to person.

In general, the benefits of astral travel include a better sense of your spirituality and your connection to the rest of the universe. This will lead to a greater sense of well being and a feeling of inner peace. Astral travel can also improve your memory and boost your level of creativity. Astral travel has this benefits because it uses a part of the brain which does not get a lot of stimulation while we are awake.

An added benefit to astral projection is a boost in your psychic abilities. Those who practice astral projection claim an enhancement in their telepathic and precognitive skills, and also enhance their ability to sense spirits.

Astral travel can do this for you because it makes use of previously untapped spiritual energies which you had not made an effort to develop.

Even skeptics have been known to change their minds after practicing astral projection techniques, given the ability to read the auras of other people.

Multitudes of individuals find a pure simplistic benefit by astral projection and astral travel, because it provides them with a newfound freedom they never considered before. It is possible to do anything or to go anywhere when you astral travel.

With the variety of benefits to be gained by practicing astral travel, it’s surprising that everyone doesn’t take advantage of this ability. The problem is that a lot of people assume that only a few special people have this ability – they’re wrong. Every one of us has the ability to astral project; it’s only a matter of practice.

Since this is an absolute natural ability, it is possible that you may have already experienced astral travel and did not realize that you had done so. Remember at the beginning we asked you if you remembered the sensation of flying while you lay sleeping. It is this very sensation of flying while you are sleeping that is the experience of astral travel.

The best way to gain the benefits of astral projection is to simply allow these experiences to happen freely, and try to blend with these experiences and to gain some sort of control over them. Through this mental exercise, you will get stronger in mind and body.

There are many methods which you can learn using books and videos made by astral travel experts. It’s not hard at all to learn, despite what many may suppose. This is an ability you already possess – it’s up to you to develop it and make the most of it.
