Landforms have been changing because of people throughout time. People have been changing the way landforms look and the ways land forms act. At times this can be good and sometimes bad. Why can making faces of Mount Rushmore be good and changing the seas of the world be bad?
The question I pose is one of the hardest questions any person can ask because who are we stay what is good and bad for the world. The question posed is dreading when thinking about it. People change landforms to protect us as a people. Examin the Greek society. People changed many beaches and mountain to guard themselves. Also our farmers change the land to feed many people. Landforms that have changed has made our places to live better.
Landforms people have changed has destroyed some of the world we live in. Inspect the dikes designed to save from harm the people of New Orleans. These were constructed to help the people from hurricanes and flooding waters just so they can live right next to the sea. However, changing the land for the benefit of people caused many deaths and destroyed a swampy area.
Hearts have been destroyed because of the way a society has changed the land. Take a look at the Black Hills. We changed many landforms to make monuments. United States Citizens felt a strong feeling of pride seeing their past presidents on a moutain. However, this land was made sacred of many people who originally lived in this area. This was wrenching to them and caused much angst because people changed the landforms.
Any way we, as people, changed our landforms possibly through the worse, is where we build our homes. Our home are built on old swamps and the flows of rivers have been changed for our benifits. Fish are dying because of the homes people have built near rivers. When we change the land form to live somewhere can have a negative effect on landforms and Mother Nature herself.
I am not saying humans changing landforms are good or bad. Evidence is strong and harm is caused to both humans and nature when landforms are changed. Humans should thinking about the way we’re changing the shape of our Earth. If we live in this world we should do something good for it.
