MY UNCLE WANTS TO LIVE IN THE PHILIPPINES PERMANENTLY. Together with his wife, they brought all their belongings and brought it with them. They gave away what they cannot bring, to friends and relatives. I got real lucky this time. Being his favorite, he gave me his ol’ boat. It’s not a yacht, just a small wooden boat. I felt like I won in the lottery for all I care. Right now we’re already dreaming the fun thrills me and my friends can get pleasure in my new boat. I was so excited with it all that I forget my uncle final instruction. Don’t forget about the mice control company. I did not think it’s that important.
It may be old but it’s mine. The boat is old and badly needs a fresh coat of paint. It’s seaworthy, but it needs some fixing. So together with my close friends, we set out to sail the boat on its “maiden voyage” and make some housecleaning. We brought everything – food, clothes – to last us. We are hoping to go at least three days at the sea. We plan to go on a month-long trip this vacation and we are, testing the water, so to speak.
We went sailing very early. We focused our attention on navigating the boat. The boat is just moored a few miles from the coast. Here we intend to stay while we clean the boat. We took advantage of the sun to clean our boat. We really scrubbed the boat clean. Wow, it look nice already. Next thing, we decided to go inside. We are also very hungry. We were taken aback when we got below. Everything is a mess. Every food we brought were spoiled. My uncle’s advise to have the boat looked over by the mice control company reverberated in my head.
What a way to start our “maiden voyage”. The mice really knows how to spoil a day. Instead of a triumphant return, we returned with all our heads bowed down. There’s nothing we can do about it. The important thing to do now is to call the mice control company and set up an appointment.
